The award was confirmed under the International Interdisciplinary Research Projects 2026 programme, part of the Knowledge Frontiers scheme. Work runs for 24 months from 2026 to 2028, led from the School of Law at the University of Aberdeen with the Department of Computing Science as co-lead department, and with partners in five further countries.
